Utilities connected; painting continues.

• Electrical service connected Wed evening in the rain. Subsequejnt panel checkout on Thu evening reveals that two breakers trip with no load, one trips with the slightest load, a few don't seem to power anything, and several outlets/fixtures in the house can't be energized.
• Gas service, complete with a new meter, is connected Thu afternoon. Furnace powered up and running Fri afternoon, set to hold temperatures in the low 60's.
• Several smoke detectors and a few ceiling fixtures are installed. The fancy (and expensive) combo CO/smoke alarm is in hand.
• Measurements for the granite countertop in the kitchen were taken on Tue.
